Case study: WH Smith
Fixed deck double decks designed for very specific PPT operation
Tiger Trailers’ design team and skilled engineers had a very specific brief to bring to life for retailer W H Smith, whose stores appear in the majority of UK towns along with airports and other spaces. The new tri-axle van double deck step frame trailers needed to facilitate efficient cage and pallet transportation, the latter loaded using powered pallet trucks (PPT), with cages typically loaded three-wide and totes often in stacks of five.
